Task

Develop a product card for the Speedo Fastskin Hyper Elite — 2 product shots, 2 athlete portraits, 1 ten-second video — within an AI battle format.

The goal was not just to show the product, but to convey its character, dynamics, and emotion. Make the viewer want to buy it.

Approach

The project was built on three-act dramaturgy: tension before the start, struggle in the water, lightness of victory. Each scene has its own lighting, colour palette, composition, and rhythm. The viewer does not just see the goggles — they experience the athlete's journey.

For the product shots, a three-quarter view at eye level shows the shape, lens curvature, and strap without distortion. Diagonal composition breaks the sterile AI look and adds dynamics. Light grey gradient background with a glossy surface.

For the athlete portraits, Rembrandt plus rim light gives volume, drama, and athletic character. Sharp focus on eyes and goggles.

Craft

Every frame was generated with detailed prompts specifying lighting, angle, composition, and texture. No stock footage, no live shoot.

Key elements were manually refined in Figma — composition, cropping, strap details — and in Photoshop for retouch, artifact removal, and sharpness.

What made the difference: soft diffused light plus rim light for product shots; Rembrandt plus rim for athlete portraits. Rule of thirds, diagonal lines, camera at eye level. Cool pool water against warm golden skin — contrast and life. Window reflections in lenses, muddy shadows, lifeless straps, unnatural colour — all avoided by design.

Result

A product card that does not sell goggles — it sells the feeling of being an athlete: focused before the start, powerful in the water, victorious at the finish.

Emotion sells better than specifications. The card proves AI tools, used with a director's eye, produce work indistinguishable from a full production shoot.
